If you read one album review of Kanye West’s Yeezus, PLEASE make it this one. Big Ghost has reviewed several albums for Okayplayer, and they are all AMAZING. This is the first sentence of his review of J. Cole’s new album:

Ayo whattup you now in the presence of the divine colossal Lord of Lasers aka the mighty Hands of Zeus aka the grand imperial Cocaine Biceps aka Sir Isaac Broccoli Bundles aka the majestic luxurious Phantom Raviolis the god…otherwise known as the magnificent Galaxy Knuckles or Shampoo Bracelets the panty melter aka the one n only Volcano Hands but you can call me Big Ghost namsayin.

Sir Isaac Broccoli Bundles?! And each review only gets better from the introduction. Enjoy.

Family Watching Movie White-Knuckles It Through Unexpected Sex Scene

This hilarious Onion article took me back to years 7 through 18 of my childhood. Even the picture looked familiar.

Star Wars: Machete Order

All credit for finding this insanely awesome article goes to Adam. Disclaimer, if you’ve never seen Star Wars, don’t bother reading, just go watch Star Wars, and in this episode order: IV, V, II, III, VI*. Skip Episode I. That’s the crux of this fantastic blog post by Rod Hilton. He makes the overwhelmingly compelling argument that this particular episode order (which he calls Machete Order) is the best way to truly experience the films, preserving the killer twists and turns that the saga has to offer, heightening tension in many parts lacking, thematically connecting the original and newer films in a much stronger way, and, possibly most important of all, completely striking Episode I from a new viewer’s Star Wars experience. I’m so excited to watch the films in Machete Order with Colleen, as she is essentially a Star Wars newbie.

*To the uninitiated, that’s A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, Return of the Jedi.

The New Face of Autism Therapy – Popular Science

This Popular Science article is a very cool read on autism research being done in California using humanoid robots. This kind of work is so important for the well-being of kids who are so quickly overlooked because they can be a challenge for parents, teachers and classmates.

I’m consistently impressed by the writing of the AV Club. Fantastic article about one of my Desert Island Top 5 Favorite Albums. http://avc.lu/RcQRD7

Worldwide confluences

Pretty cool article on confluences around the world. A confluence is one two separate bodies of water connect, so like two rivers merging into one. This sounds incredibly nerdy, but the photos in the article are crazy to see. Like this one, of the confluence of the Mosel and Rhine Rivers in Koblenz, Germany.

Pop Spots NYC

Pop Spots NYC

This is insanely cool. Bob Egan is a guy who lives in New York and searches out the exact locations of importance in pop culture. Par exemple, in entry #10, he details his search for the location of Steely Dan’s Pretzel Logic album cover. He is incredibly thorough and has a lot more locations found. Check it out.
